Parts of the costume for the character of sci-fi television series "Babylon 5", created and produced by Joseph Michael Straczynski. Ambassador Kosh Naranek.

It was made for the costume event devoted to this film.

The costume is made of fiberglass and polymers. Durable and lightweight. At the helm is darkened glass through which you can watch.

I did some alternative Vorlon encounter suit designs a few years ago when i was toying with the notion of doing a Babylon 5 comic. Must dig them out.
Have you ever concidered doing a suit for Ulkesh?

Suit Ulkesh still had no reason to do so. But it would be interesting.

It looks awesome! He was always an interesting character, full of mystery,l never get to know what he realy looks like. And from many episodes, he seems to be a higher being.

Yes it is. There was a series where his show as a kind of semi-transparent substance. Similar to the energy being. Still there is a picture where he is depicted.

Денис, извините, я что-то из вашего комментария про "actor is walking it backwards" не поняла (то ли перевожу криво, то ли что) - он спиной вперед ходил что ли? Или как это переводится? О_о

Да-да, так и есть. Актер ходил спиной вперед. И получалось, что у актера затылок на том месте где у Коша "глаз".

Э-э... А где информацию добыли? Мы сколько рылись - не попадалась такая. Даже находили воспоминания актера, но кроме жалоб на жару и попытку костюмеров засунуть в шлем лампочку для глаза (при возмущениях актера "а куда вы ее там денете? а как же я?"), ничего такого мы там не видели.
Да и в Улькеше он лицом вперед ходил - есть фото со снятым шлемом и есть фото шлема с видом снизу (с дыркой для головы).

Единственное, что нам известно точно, так это то, что актер в шлеме ничего не видел. Для некоторых сцен с него снимали шлем, чтобы он запомнил и посчитал шаги, затем надевали - и "мотор!".

Хм. Сейчас сложно сказать. Когда информацию по нему искал где-то прочитал. Помню, что удивился, поэтому и запомнил.

Я посмотрю, меня снова заинтересовал этот вопрос )
